Construction Careers Committee

Join our Construction Careers Committee for our quarterly planning meeting on Wednesday, September 18 at 3:30 pm at the GBA Office – 115 S. Westgate Drive – as we focus on workforce development initiatives, working with educational and workforce development organizations to promote construction careers and skilled trades training opportunities.

Currently we have two sub-committees…our Scholarship and Endowment committees. Both committees are open for new volunteers to join. We are looking for additional volunteers to work directly with area high schools, community colleges, and our NAHB Student Chapter at NC A&T State University.

One action item for this fall is a tool/material drive for our area high schools as they have a limited budget for the resources needed for students to gain hands-on experience.
