High Point Elections Day

All High Point Council seats are up for reelection this year and for the first time in quite a while there will be 4-year terms, which are now unstaggered. The GBA/PTAA Joint Elections Committee (managed by TREBIC staff) developed a survey and interview questions.  Then interviewed all candidates who submitted a survey and wanted an interview.  Below are their recommendations on the candidates following the primary.

• Mayor:            Jay Wagner
• At Large (2):    Britt Moore  &  Patrick Harman
• Ward 1:            Cyril Jefferson
• Ward 2:           Chris Williams
• Ward 3:           Monica Peters
• Ward 4:           Wesley Hudson
• Ward 5:           Victor Jones
• Ward 6:           Jason Ewing

NOTE:  The overall field of candidates was very impressive. Therefore it is important to understand that our associations have a general value that if an incumbent has been supportive of our industry, we will be supportive of them, no matter who may be opposing them.
