Women In Construction Day

In conjunction with NCHBA’s 21st Century Building Expo in Concord, Thursday, October 5 is Women in Construction Day. There will be a networking social from 10:30 – 11:00 am…followed by a special Women in Construction panel discussion – Breaking the Concrete Ceiling – from 11:00 am – 12:15 pm featuring three leading women in the building industry:
- Mollie Elkman, author of The House That She Built
- Alicia Huey, 2023 NAHB Chairman
- Nora El-Khouri Spencer, 2022 NAHB Woman of the Year
NCHBA will be purchasing copies of The House That She Built books for every GBA / PWB member who attends the panel presentation. Books will be distributed to elementary schools in Guilford County by our PWB members.
Tickets for the Women in Construction panel are $25. When registering, make sure to check your affiliation as a HBA member with the Greensboro Builders Association #3440 as this supports our PWB book drive.
First 150 registered attendees are guaranteed a special Women in Construction Day t-shirt. Must register prior to September 12 to be eligible. Shirts will be distributed during networking social.
